Set attributes to convert to the CSV format

This video talks about converting to the CSV format. 

All converters are recently updated, all converters can convert to the CSV format and all CSV options are provided to all converters. There are also converters, like Bank2CSV, that convert only to the CSV format. 

In this case, we will be using the Bank2QFX converter. IMPORTANT: Bank2QFX is now replaced with the Transactions app, which converts from more formats and converts to more formats.

We will convert a PDF file. 

There is a CSV Tab on the right sidebar.  

When we use this CSV option, we are presented with two parameters: CSV Target and Output Dates. The first is CSV Target: you can select how you want your CSV file to be created - is it 'Regular CSV', is it 'XLSX Excel', is it older 'XLS Excel'.  

In the 'Regular CSV' we output all columns you see on the screen.  

But in the 'CSV Quickbooks Online' - Quickbooks Online imports only three columns: Date, Amount, and Description. So, you will see only three columns on the CSV file. Why we would do that?  It is easy for Quickbooks Online to work with that file, when you upload such a file, it will imports 3-4 without no choosing anything, Quickbooks maps it automatically, it is less confusing for you in Quickbooks to get your Data imported. 'CSV Xero' provides more columns, because Xero imports the references columns, so you have more fields here. 'Quicken Mac (CSV Mint)', which also requires special formatting for special rules to be followed, to have that CSV Mint file successfully imported by Quicken for Mac. 

There are other things, like 'Quickbooks Batch Checks', 'Quickbooks Batch Deposits', 'Quickbooks Batch CCard', copy to 'Clipboard', same as this 'Clipboard', then you can paste it to Quickbooks. FreeAgent and two special cases for Splits: 'Simple CSV with Splits' and 'Full CSV with Splits' to output, let's say, QIF file Splits and two ways, that certain users needed to work with them in a certain way.

The second parameter is the Output Dates. You can specify Dates since the CSV file in the certain software will be processed this file and Dates are usually hard to process and they have to be in the specific format, so you can choose all available options here, how your dates should look like. 

There are also few settings, that are hidden just not to change accidentally, and then the software will not import: which 'Encoding' you want to use and how many 'Decimals' you want. And if want to use 'Dot' or 'Comma' Decimals separated. So, if you need it, you can find it in the 'Settings' and change it.
